Spirits of the Angus Glens - Distillery Tour & Tasting

Our first stop will be for brunch at Castleton Farm where we can enjoy a traditional full cooked breakfast or something lighter if preferred. All the food in the café at Castleton is locally sourced and seasonal. After brunch we will have some time to explore the farm shop to stock up on some of the fantastic produce on sale.

From here we will travel south to see how a 4th generation potato farmer has turned, what were rejected potatoes, into Scotland’s first potato vodka. After a tour of the farm and distillery the newly built visitor centre is the perfect place to sample some of their award-winning products. As far as distillery tours go this couldn’t be much more personable, either the owners or one of their small hard-working team will be our host.

We will then take a very short drive to the little village of Glamis where we will visit the Gin Bothy. The Gin Bothy are gin producers who have a huge range of interesting and tasty gins, from their original to a wide range of flavoured gins there’s one for everyone! Here we will be treated to a full tasting experience where we will hear their story and sample four seasonal full pour gins accompanied by some nibbles.

Expect a comfortable scenic journey through Aberdeenshire and Angus where we will meet great people, hear their stories and sample some excellent locally produced food and drink.

All this for £110 per person which is fully inclusive of all tours, tastings and brunch.

This is a full day tour lasting 8 hours with pick up in Aberdeen around 10am and returning around 6.30pm.

This tour is also available as a private tour for 1 – 8 people for an inclusive price of £400 + £50 per person and will include collection from anywhere in Aberdeenshire.
