Join us on this cookery class in Aberdeen with a difference. Enjoy a trip to a local farmers market to meet producers and learn about their produce. Here we will buy ingredients to take back to the kitchen (via a speciality drinks shop) for an afternoon of relaxed cooking, eating and drinking.

Description

The monthly “Market Day Cookery Class” is a cookery class with a difference. We will meet in Aberdeen in the morning for a brief introduction before taking a short drive out to one of the many fantastic Aberdeenshire farmer’s Markets.

Here we will get a chance to chat with producers and learn about seasonality and what makes their product so special. As a group, we will decide, based on seasonality and availability, what to buy for our cookery class. We will have time for a quick bite, coffee, and a yap before we head back to the bus.

Before heading back to Aberdeen we will stop at a speciality drinks shop and choose some wine, beer or soft drinks to go with our meal. We will then arrive back at the cook school where we will meet our fun and entertaining chef. Using a good balance of hands-on cookery and chef’s demos we will produce a three-course locally sourced meal to enjoy with some drinks.

Expect a fun, informative casual day out where we will meet hard-working producers, hear their stories and get hands on with some of the finest produce on offer.

This experience is available as a private tour for up to 8 people for an inclusive price of £550 + £25pp

This is a full-day tour with pick up in Aberdeen at 09.00 and we expect to be finished around 17.00 in Aberdeen.

Available on the 3^rd Saturday of each month on request to fit in with the farmer’s market. We can also do cookery classes without the market experience more regularly.
